Brewing Directions:
Hot tea:
Remove contents from packaging and place into a teapot. Add 4 cups (1 Litre) of boiling water. Infuse for 5-10 minutes. Enjoy it hot.
Re-steep the contents when the teapot is empty with the same amount of boiling water. Infuse for 10-15 minutes. Enjoy it hot.
It’s also a good idea to re-steep the fruit tea a second time. Cool it down slightly and place in refrigerator*. Enjoy it cold. Consume within 1 day.
Always store leftovers in refrigerator.
Iced Tea:
Add the sachet’s content to 12 cups (3 Litre) of boiling water. Infuse for 10-20 minutes. Cool it down slightly and place in refrigerator*. Enjoy it cold. Consume within 1 day.
Fruit Water:
Add any fruit from the Fruit Up jar or sachet to your water container and enjoy refreshing flavoured water.
*My preferred method of rapid cooling is to put a metal pot plus a bunch of big spoons into the freezer, letting them get nice and cold, then pouring the hot tea into the pot. The cold metal absorbs heat very quickly, then the tea can be poured into a storage container and put into the fridge. A quick rinse and the pot is ready to use again.
When you want to make your favorite tea last a little longer, give re-steeping a try! It’s a great way to get better value out of your loose fruit tea while savoring those hidden changing flavours. The flavour of your tea changes with each steep, so when you use your fruit multiple times you’re actually getting a new experience in every cup.
Dried fruit is highly nutritious. One piece of dried fruit contains approximately the same amount of nutrients as fresh fruit, but is condensed in a much smaller package. By weight, dried fruit contains up to 4 times the fibre, vitamins and minerals of fresh fruit.
